Can the system handle right-to-left reading text such as Arabic?
Yes. TransPDF can be translate to and from right-to-left PDFs written in Arabic, Hebrew, Pesian and Urdu. By default it also swaps page layout to reflect the reading order of the target language though this behaviour can be disabled.
